Hinds Community College
The Hinds Community College Workforce Development Center provides industry-specific training and services for businesses, government agencies, and community organizations. The center also provides additional educational courses and career exploration. The programs are open to the public and people of all ages are welcome.

Workforce Investment Network
WIN Job Centers offer employers free job postings, a large pool of available skilled workers, and information about and referral to on-the-job training programs that reduce the cost of training new employees. WIN also saves employers time and money by recruiting and screening new candidates for employment.

Federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA)
Federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA)Working in conjunction with the State of Mississippi's workforce training program, the federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) is used to assist new and existing companies with the retraining of displaced workers. In the WIA program, employers may be reimbursed up to 50 percent of wages for new workers for up to six months. When participants complete the training and enter unsubsidized employment, the employer may realize additional savings through a tax credit available under the Targeted Job Tax Credit Program. WIA assistance is provided through the Mississippi Development Authority. Information about WIA offices is listed below.
