NEXUS
The HCEDA NEXUS Project is an intermediary that coordinates efforts to meet the needs of Hinds County Workforce. Through developing caucuses, composed of many institutions, agencies, and organizations, the coalition works collaboratively to connect employers with well qualified individuals seeking employment. The caucuses identified include, Recruiting, Training, and Placement. The project connects the needs of employers with training entities and Hinds County residents who are seeking living wage employment.
The Mission of the project is to provide a cohesive collaboration of workforce agencies working together to create a seamless flow of delivery services to the workforce of today, tomorrow, and the future; To create a blueprint of services being offered by the organizations represented in the NEXUS as well as for public use.
Focus - The Workforce Nexus Project is positioned and structured to support and serve Mississippi’s employers, job seekers and workforce partners. Through innovation, Hinds County Nexus focuses on recruiting, training and employing Mississippi residents in a career field of choice; thus, increasing impetus for a livable and sustainable wage.
RECRUITING CAUCUS
The NEXUS recruiting caucus is comprised of many various agencies working in coordination to recruit individuals for training and job opportunities. Through the recruiting caucus individuals will develop a self-authored blueprint for securing employment.
TRAINING CAUCUS
The NEXUS Training Caucus engage individuals in rigorous module that translate to real world application. The training received from associated agencies allow individual to become viable candidates for open job opportunities connected to the NEXUS project.
PLACEMENT CAUCUS
The NEXUS Placement Caucus is comprised of employers who are seeking qualified individual that have received the necessary training to operate effectively. The placement conglomerate work in direct coordination with other caucuses to ensure individual have the knowledge, skill and disposition to be effective and successful employee.
